Her family were realtors. She and her husband Dr. Joe Paschal have a ranch in Washington Co. Texas were they run and feed their own cattle. Here two grown children were raised in Annaville and went to Tuloso Midway School. They participated in Nueces County 4-H program raising and showing cattle and Quarter Horses, market steers and purebred heifers.

Here daughter Helen is a veterinarian in Washington County and her son Robert works for USDA and also has a degree in nursing. Her husband has retired from Texas A & M as a livestock specialist and now is the Executive Director of the American Brahman Association.
